MEET SHANNON ROBERTS

Born and raised in the DMV (not the vehicle registration place—iykyk), I moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2011 to coach high school lacrosse. Not long after, I realized many of my student-athletes needed help getting recruited so I started filming and editing highlight reels to send to college coaches. That work taught me something I still build every wedding film around: when the story is real, it hits harder.

 

Today, I’m a Sedona wedding videographer and the filmmaker behind Sedona Wedding Films, creating story-driven wedding films for couples traveling from all over the world to get married in the red rocks. I film adventure elopements, micro weddings, intimate weddings, and traditional weddings across Sedona and Northern Arizona and local knowledge is baked into everything I do, from choosing the best light to building a timeline that actually feels good (and works with Sedona’s real-world logistics).

When I’m not filming weddings and events, you’ll usually find me outside with my husband and our three kids or chasing the Milky Way as an amateur astrophotographer. My favorite part of this job is meeting couples like you and learning your story, because that connection is what helps me create films that you’ll want to rewatch for the rest of your life.
